Why remove a tree stump?

The stump is the section of the stem or trunk which is left in the ground after a large shrub or tree has been removed. Some people choose to leave the stump, sometimes making it into a feature, such as a bird feeding table. However, if you are planning to turf or build over the area, or to erect a wall or fence, then you will first need to remove the stump. Many people also decide to get rid of a tree stump for aesthetic reasons or to maximise space in their garden. Our tree stump removal Manchester team is fully trained to help with this.

Our stump grinding machine

We use a specialist stump grinding machine to grind out the stump as well as the roots of a tree after it has been felled. This machine removes the stump using a large grinding wheel. The wheel is located at the front of the machine. It is lined with a number of tungsten carbide teeth which can cut through soil and wood. The wheel revolves at a very high speed. As it does so, the carbide teeth grind the stump into woodchip. The machine likewise turns the whole area surrounding the stump into compost. Once the stump has been ground, it is therefore possible to plant, landscape or build over the area.

    I would definitely recommend Treestyle to anybody needed a top quality service in removing large trees from a garden/confined space. Steve and the team did a fantastic job removing 5 five mature Beech trees from the garden at the rear of my house, which were in a line, very close to each other & (seemed to me) entangled with each other. The guys turned up on time and it was amazing to watch them at work. Very professional and hard working. Steve and the team care about trees and nature, and are very knowledgeable and ready to chat through what they are doing and why, when asked. They left the my garden clean and tidy. Fabulous!!

    Steve and his team did a great Job of getting rid of a huge tree and its stump from my garden.
