Species Specific Pruning
Different species of trees require different and specific pruning techniques. As such, it is important that the person cutting your tree is equipped with the necessary knowledge.
This is where being an Arborist rather than just a tree cutter really comes into its own.
Unlike many tree surgeons in Manchester, Treestyle Arboriculture are a team of fully qualified and experienced arborists. As such, we really know how to care for trees. Unfortunately, anyone can set themselves up as a tree surgeon. Yet, whilst they might be able to ‘lop’ or ‘top’ a tree, their lack of knowledge means that they can often damage or even kill the tree by cutting it incorrectly. How we undertake species specific pruning.
The first step when pruning a tree is to identify the species. If a contractor doesn’t have specialist knowledge they will struggle with this. Fortunately, we have over 60 years combined experience of tree care in our three-man team. This is backed up by formal college and industrial qualifications. Whatever species your tree or shrub is, we will help you to cultivate and maintain it in as healthy a condition as possible. Whether it is a veteran Oak tree that needs help to retrench (reducing its crown to help reinvigorate it), or a small Apple tree that needs a formative prune to encourage fruiting, we can recommend the best course of action for your tree.
Ornamental trees in parks and gardens, in particular, benefit from this thorough approach. Combined with the natural target pruning method we follow, it provides a great healthy future for your tree’s growth.
